World Hunger

Greetings and welcome to WEPT TV, 60 seconds to report the news and to pray about it. Today I am reporting on World Hunger. The changing climate and military conflict are spiraling this problem upward: 765 million human beings are malnourished, many are starving. In America we have 1 out of 6 people hungry, In India, 1 out of 4, In Africa, 1 out of 3, and in Gaza Strip and Syria, hunger and thirst is being used as genocide. Now is the moment to lift compassion high, put our differences aside, and to rise up and pray: God of the Whole Earth, we Your people humble ourselves and pray. Help us to turn from our destructive ways. Please forgive us, restore peace, and heal our land. Lead and guide us back to green pastures and to the clear, healthy rivers from whence we have come. With You all things are possible! Amen.
